    Uniform Data Question

On my portal there is a section for me to enter uniform sizing. One of the sizes is for shoes. Does anyone know what this sizing is used for (boots, low quarters, sneakers, etc.)? Because my size varies depending on the type of shoe. I would like to avoid foot problems, so I want to put the...

    College Applicants

The only things that they keep are: --SAT or ACT score reports --School Official Evaluations --Employer Evaluation --Any extra documents you sent in, such as letters of recommendation or a resume. Unfortunately, this means that your DS will have to pretty much fill out...

    Army PT Score Question

Well seeing as how the max for the APFT is 300, a 337 is an awesome score. That will be a factor in his contracting. Last semester in our ROTC program, the 2 people that won campus based scholarships scored 295+, so the cadre will definitely notice your DS's fitness level.

    3 Q letter Question

I'm in the Northeast as well, and I did not receive a 3Q letter until I asked my RC and FFR about it.

    Reapplying

This is really important. I go to college 5 hours from home and it saved me a ton of headaches by doing all of this before I left. Fill out all of your nomination stuff before you leave as well (if you're going far). It will be one less thing to worry about as you adjust to college life.

    Reapplying

The most important thing to do is keep your grades up. When I reapplied this year, my RC and FFR both said that is the number one thing to focus on. USMA wants to see that you can handle a college environment. Enroll in ROTC courses. Even though you won't be on scholarship you will learn a...

    WP Day Visit

When I did a day visit, I followed a cadet around for the day. I went to class with him and sat with him for lunch in Washington Hall with all the other cadets and went to one more class after that. He also took me to his dorm to show me what it looked like. To make the most out of your...

Applying to USMA as a college freshman

As a college freshman, the application is very similar. The only differences are that you have to send your college transcripts after your first and second semesters and you need to get 2 professor SOEs. You also have to fill out a "Supplemental Information Sheet". This is an area on your...

    ACT or Class rank?

I remember being told by my RC at an admissions briefing that class rank and ACT/SAT are the only parts that make up the academic portion of your WCS. He went on to further say that they are both counted equally, so one half of your academic score is ACT/SAT and the other half is class rank.

Anyone Who Got Accepted into SLE

SLE is good to have on your app, but SuaSponte is right in the fact that it does not mean you won't get an appointment. I did it 2 years ago, and while I was there, I was told by a few admission reps that only about 10%-20% of the Corps of Cadets did SLE, so it's not a huge deal if you don't get...

    CFA Test

I believe it is 10% of your WCS, so it is not a huge blow to your application if you do not do well, but you should still strive for the maxes, 1 point could make a difference.
