Thank you for your advice! I contacted the ROO (after careful consultation with the acronym key) at my #3, which as I mentioned is a part of the same batallion as my #1. I haven't been accepted to #3 yet, and I think chances are probably 60/40. Could that be an issue?

In that same vein: full tuition at my #1 is about $35,000 and room and board is $13,000. If I could split the scholarship award of $35,000 between tuition and room and board I would become eligible for merit based tuition awards and thus be able to afford school. I assume this also is impossible?
