    Laptop NIST compliance??

I went to community college before I went to a four year school (because I was homeschooled... but that's another story)... As long as your DS gets good grades I don't how it would a problem. Community colleges use the same Calc books as everyone else. Math & science, from my experience, are...

    Laptop NIST compliance??

It was almost identical. The only difference was I didn't need to redo the DODMERB stuff. The only change in the essay was to add what I had done in the intervening year in addition to the essay itself. I still needed the letters of recommendation, grades, SATs, etc... I will say it seemed...

    Laptop NIST compliance??

I have vague memories of being on my Dad's ship as a really young kid and watching Jurassic Park on VHS over and over because that's all there was in terms of entertainment really... I'd assume it's better today because a 2tb external drive the size of your hand will hold hundreds of films/TV...

    Laptop NIST compliance??

Can you bring an iPad? Mine has cellular data so I don't care about it not being on their network. Also, how can the school still use flash based applications it's not 2008!... I hate flash, it's terrible, I just don't understand.

The ultimate question... what are my chances?

I'd take a chemistry course (looks good to KP and it's a generally good idea) and see where you can improve elsewhere. I don't know what to say about the SAT at the moment because they significantly altered it in 2015. Also, I don't believe having a parent alumni is that helpful. I was rejected...

Germanwings pilot may have crashed plane deliberately

This is accident is very unfortunate. I wonder what the knee-jerk reaction regulations are going to be. Just put a head in the cockpit and you won't have to worry about the pilot being locked out... I heard they're going to start requiring 3 crew members on a flight so at least 2 are in the...

Now that you've been appointed, how will you celebrate?

Still haven't figured that one out. However, when I found out I did some pushups. Then I purchased a USMMA bumper sticker and another yoga mat. Also realized my car is in the grey and blue KP colors.

On hearing back from Kings Point

I would call admissions about the grades still being absent from the file.

    Reapplying for a third time

A D in Calc I is setting you up to fail Calc II, at least in my opinion. Additionally, you need a C+ to transfer Calculus anywhere. I'd suggest retaking it. What are you majoring in currently?

Applying From a State Maritime Academy

I have no idea. Your new application gets added to the previous one. I know that.

Applying From a State Maritime Academy

Having a year of good college grades under your belt is certainly helpful. At least it was for me. I'd imagine being in a license program at Mass Maritime would also be helpful. Grades and perseverance are the real key though.

    Application Status Steps

Yep. This year it now says Principal Fully Qualified if your DS/DD is offered an appointment. If one of the requirements isn't met it will say Denied.

On hearing back from Kings Point

I was rejected last year. Got the TWE in late May or early June. I reapplied this year and got in a week after my application was complete.

It basically means your DS is on the waiting list. I was on hold last year.
