definitely rest. I am a jumper/sprinter for track and have terrible knees and shins. the only thing that makes them feel better is rest. trust me, you're in better running shape than you may think. and biking/swimming will help a lot. The running during plebe summer shouldn't be that bad, or...

they do not care what color or style tennis shoes you have. We had a guy there with fluorescent multicolored shoes and the trainers thought it was funny.

completely agree with that. There are going to be so many people dealing with shin splints and other injuries that they just push through. Don't be that person unless you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT participate in PEP and running. you lose a lot of respect from your classmates and trust me, they'll know...

is there anyone on this forum who knows anything about the special operations team at the academy or the skydiving team? I'm very interested in joining them next year, and any info would be appreciated
