    AFROTC SFT/LEAD Failure. What now?

Was wondering the same thing. I didn't know you could contract before going to FT if you are non-scholly. Also, my detachment allows some cadets to come back, depending on the reason the got sent home. I know one cadet from my det failed 3 GLPs, got sent home. Came back this year as a 500...

    AFROTC Not on scholarship?

4.075 UW out of 5? & it's not important whether or not you are on scholarship. However, if you do well enough in the program, you can always win a in college scholarship. With that being said, your GPA, PFA, TBAS, Commander's Ranking are important for a rated slot. None of what you did in high...

    College Decision - AFROTC

Regarding ICSP (in college scholarships) I'm pretty sure schools do not matter. It's a national board.. now I don't know what your DS is considering or got accepted into but I chose a less prestigious university by far. Like I downgraded so much in terms of academics BUT I was able to retain a...

Air Force gives AFROTC cadets Reserve commission career option

Scholarships have nothing to do with it. Scholarship and non-scholarship cadets are presented with same opportunities. Additionally, everyone is given the opportunity to go active, but whether or not you work towards this opportunity is up to you. Don't think simply because of a scholarship you...

    Choosing ROTC with no Scholarship

Speaking on the AFROTC side, please note that the scholarship would've been a 2+2, and if you were to be nominated for next year's scholarship, it'd be a 1.5 + 2 (second semester of Freshman year) or 1+2 (first semester of Sophomore / 200 / 250 year). - This means that regardless, you'll have to...

    AFROTC Reboarded

I was reboarded similar to you last year. I believe you got reboarded to the last board just like everyone else who gets reboarded. Anyways, it typically means you are on the borderline of a scholarship, for example Type 1 or Type 2, Type 2 or Type 7, or even Type 7 or no scholarship at all. The...

    AFROTC Scholarship and EA/FT

Your ACT is not superscored. As stated above, your scholarship has no affect on EA. Start thinking of a plan B.

    AFROTC Scholarship Chances

Are you talking about phase I or II? Either way, the scholarship board for 200s and 250s that convened in Fall 2015, there were 3 non-techs selected at my school. Our cadre nominated 7/55 100s for a scholarship this upcoming ICSP. There were 3 techs and 4 non-techs.

    AFROTC Scholarship Chances

From my cadre: Non-technical majors: CGPA: 3.8 PFT: 95.2 ACT: 28 Technical majojrs: CPGA: 3.5 PFT: 94.6 ACT: 29 Those are averages. Unfortunately, we can't determine his chances because it really depends on how much money the Air Force has left. Good luck! I'm competing for one as well...

    AFROTC Type 7 Scholarship Received

I doubt it. I mean I'd understand that most of Type 1 scholarship recipients get appointments but Type 7 is more common and usually a fallback plan for most cadets.

    AFROTC at Elite Institution

School doesn't affect EA except perhaps those in Ivy already have higher test scores. They use AFOQT or SAT equivalent so if you passed AFOQT but it's still lower than your ACT, they will use the ACT, thus benefitting those in the higher tier colleges. In the end, it in a way balances it out...

    AFROTC Activity Sheet... Help!

I brought my resume which had the extracurriculars as you stated. It was fine. If anything use a resume format or something simple in that manner. I know a bunch of people who won without sports but it isn't sports, it's leadership that helps your application. It's one thing to participate in a...

can i still join rotc if i am the only boy in my house hold

He made a thread on College Confidential asking if he was considered to be in college as a 9th grader. Ended up getting roasted by a majority of the posters, most of which stated he shouldn't be in 9th grade with that horrible grammar.

    In College AFROTC Scholarship

Thanks Pima! That makes sense. I will definitely get my PFA up. I planned to run a lot in the winter and since it's extremely cold where I'm from, I think running in the morning will condition me to do better than the perfect weather that I will have during the actual PFA. The ICSP has 2...

    In College AFROTC Scholarship

Good afternoon SAF, Does anyone here know the average CGPA and ACT/SATe for an in college AFROTC scholarship? Also, there was recently a scholarship board for 200's/250's. Is the only difference for this board during the spring is that 100's are eligible? All I remember is cadre said they will...

    AFROTC Scholarship Question

If you are reboarded, most likely you are on the cusp from a type of scholarship which means Type 7 or Type 2, which also means Type 7 or none. It really just depends on who is on the 2nd board. Just be happy you have a chance and wait it out! Your PFA is decent. Number wise is pretty good. I...

    Non-technical Majors...

https://www.afrotc.com/scholarships/schools Here are the list of technical majors. Anything else are considered non-technical. Technical majors have a higher chance at getting a scholarship but choosing a different non-tech over a current non-tech will make no difference. Besides, your...
