It seems as if you get rejected for summer seminar, the likelihood of getting accepted to the Academy is slim to none. Just wondering if its worth the effort for someone to pursue it.

As I was reading the NROTC process details, I am not sure on exactly how it works. Do you have to be accepted by the college first before the scholarship is awarded or can the scholarship be awarded first and will having a scholarship help you get accepted to a particular college.
