Where is Everyone Taking Their ROTC Scholarship?!?!?! (Any Branch)

Good luck! We were up against a hard deadline with AROTC. His acceptance had to go in by the 10th and he had two other offers. He would have taken WVU if Syracuse hadn't accepted him.

Where is Everyone Taking Their ROTC Scholarship?!?!?! (Any Branch)

Our ROO got us confirmation of acceptance and we got an email from SU yesterday. Contact their AFROTC recruiter and see if he can inquire with admissions. Letters will start to be mailed on the 10th according to ours. Good luck!

How long does it take the acceptance to reflect on portal

It's been uploaded to the portal as well now. Thank you for the tip. It's not suggested on the form but it's a great way to have an electronic record.

How long does it take the acceptance to reflect on portal

I'm just curious because the kid took a while to deliberate and revisited his top 2 selections and the cutoff is on the 10th. We sent it in yesterday and know that they're bombarded at the moment.

    Scholarship question

It really is crazy how it varies. My daughter's academic scholarship to Arizona State (same Board of Regents as UofA) goes to cover her room and board with no issue whatsoever. Had my son selected WVU, his academic scholarship would have gone to room and board there as well.

Varsity Letters through JROTC and Scholarship Chances

Yes. This time of year, you should be able to walk on to track or tennis. Talk to the coach. It's amazing how much they'll work with you.

She squeezed in a swimming her senior year. She...

She was 2 years ago. She didn't get on 'til the last board because of a perfect storm of circumstances. We were fortunate enough to have lessons learned to apply to my son's process. She's a MSII at Arizona State University and doing great....Son will have a hard time choosing between Syracuse...

3 4 years to his to his 1st, 2nd and 4th choice....all the early mornings for JROTC and late nights for football and pushing him for AP and dual credits paid off. He's got enough of an academic scholarship, the room and board at the public school should be covered if he chooses that route....I...

    Speeding Ticket

They do care....And even the tiniest bit of trouble now can be cause of major heartache down the road far into their career....traffic tickets? Usually not so much. 2 speeding tickets relatively close together? That will raise eyebrows. Will it stop him or cause a problem, most likely not but...

    AROTC 3rd Board...Place to Wait

that's why you see "valued up to $35K" HOWEVER many schools do cover the rest with additional grants/scholarships. We had that discussion with the PMS at the school my daughter interviewed. It's not a 100% golden ticket.

    AROTC 3rd Board...Place to Wait

No. Some of the most competitive candidates going before boards 1 & 2 were those going private engineering schools like Rose Hulman....and that is a very prestigeous school for STEM disciplines and VERY expensive. The draw there though is while ROTC's $35K max per annum doesn't come close to...
