I got the BFE before my portal update. I was given a conditional appointment on my Athletic visit to USMMA.

Does USAFA appointees get a BFE similar to USMA for being accepted? or is it just a simple letter on your portal?

For USAFA, I got a portal update and a email saying that my status changed. For USMMA, I got a BFE in the mail. My Congressman nominated me to USAFA and USMMA as well, and I didn't get any updates/phone calls from them.

My noncommittal file is from regional admission team. It is basically another info file about the admission process that you print out and what not, so I don't think you should worry about anything!
