How late can candidates be called with an appointment? Can previously rejected candidates be called if others change their mind? Just curious.

He is thinking about going to community college for a year then reapplying or even joining the Navy.

Our DS was denied for low scores. He then asked his admission representative about prep. He was told in March that USMMA sponsored prep slots were already full.

We are not sure what the letter says, that reason was on his status in the portal. He has not received the TWE yet.

If not appointed, will the portal reflect this before the TWE comes? If so, anyone know what that status change looks like? I'm guessing "thanks, but no thanks" is not the verbiage they would use.

Question r/t attending university ROTC. Were you on ROTC scholarship? Our DS has been contacted by an ROTC recruiter at our local public college. They are already talking to him about scholarships and we are wondering how this would work if he would try to pursue USMMA again next year.

I would either send the information to the admissions representative you have been working with or the general admissions representative at the SA(s) you applied to.

That gives us HOPE. I am not sure if the waiting is harder on our DS or on us!

Would you say that most of the sponsored students are recruited athletes for USMMA?

Tons of questions so hope you do not mind. I am assuming our DS will not be appointed/accepted to USMMA because he does not meet the ACT minimums. So, if USMMA feels he would still be a good fit for their academy in the future, do they recommend him for the prep school? How does that work...

What is the name of USMMA's prep school?

If all requirements are met, including receiving a nomination, EXCEPT minimum scores, will USMMA recommend the prep school? How are sponsorships to the prep initiated?

DS is in same boat, under "Missing Documents" tab of the candidate portal, it says "Current Scores below Minimum Requirement". We too are hoping that he is still "in the game". Does anyone know if USMMA will accept ACT scores after the 3/1 application deadline?
