I was going to speak with my MS instructor when I returned from break. I spoke with other chaplains and they advised that if I wanted to become a chaplain that it may be best if I gain some experience after I earn my Masters then go through ROTC. I just wanted different perspectives from others...
Hello all,
I'm an AROTC cadet studying English and Political science. I am strongly considering becoming an Army chaplain but was unsure if pursuing it through ROTC was a good idea. I have been told that it's better to direct commission as a chaplain rather than doing it through the Chaplain...
NJ05 came out last Friday - I received an email from Garrett's office but I believe HIS was quicker (than I anticipated at least) because he's on his way out
I got no such e-mail. I took my CFA at SLE and I assumed I passed based on the green checkmark. But now that there is a red X I'm assuming I didn't pass. I'll contact my RC. Has this happened to anyone?
When my application first opened up in August, I had taken my CFA at SLE (with the impression that I had failed it) but when my application opened up there was a green check mark next to my CFA scores. I was confused, but happy nonetheless, a couple of week later I find that the green check had...
Thank you all for the advice - it's really helped me put everything into perspective. I live in the northeast and my district is very competitive. Like I said, I will be retaking the CFA regardless in order to maximize my chances and to put all my energy and effort into the application.

I don't believe there is a set amount for volunteer hours, but WP generally wants you to be involved in community service, especially if you have a leadership position in whatever it is you do.
Andrewbcpark is right - adding on to what he said (depending on your state) beginning in around April you'll probably start the your applications for your respective congressmen. So you got that to look forward to! ;)
Does your portal stay "pending"? If they haven't explicitly said that you weren't offered an acceptance to SLE I believe there is still a chance. The wait is long and tedious, but all you got to do is wait and see ;) Besides, denied admission into SLE doesn't guarantee that you won't be admitted...
Actually Ms. Commillia Oliver was my tech support as well. She advised to change my transportation to something that wasn't an option - perhaps in past years it was an option?
I am driving to West Point (I live around 40 minutes from there) so traveling isn't an issue nor is the shirt size (I...
