Trying to find out whether the pay our Army cadets receive while at summer Advanced Camp is taxable? Our DS has not received a W2 yet, but reading on line it sounds like advanced camp pay is supposed to be taxable?
Any recommendations on whether newly commissioned Army officers are expected to get a mess dress right away, or whether the dual-purpose ASU w/bow tie is sufficient in their early days? With the new "Greens" coming out, not sure what to focus on for a commissioning gift.
The DoDMERB portal now shows that our DS was granted a medical waiver. Is there anywhere on the system that will show that he is now medically qualified?
Only snag on my DS's medical exam is a high frequency hearing loss in one ear at 4000 hz that appears to be just outside of the 55 db requirement. Anyone aware of waivers that have previously been given by Cadet Command for this type of issue?
Wondering if anyone has combined Post 9/11 GI Bill with AFROTC scholarship? Sure wish there was a way to use both at VMI to help offset the R&B, quartermaster, athletic/medical fees. But seems like you would be giving away the tuition either way.
