Yes, it’s referred to as the lifting team here. Not sure if they actually compete. I think they’re just a bunch of lifting enthusiasts who work out/share workouts together in the cadet gym.

You can join the special warfare club. We have CROs and TACPs here. You take the PAST which is the fitness test and if selected, you go to selection. If selected for CRO or any battlefield airman job, you will still put in normal job preferences but you will still get your BA job.

The last sentence you said is what happens. You just use the packet to fill out the sf86 electronically at the Academy. So no, it is not necessary to put “N/A” in every box unless you want to.

I’m a 2 deg at the Academy. I know plenty of classmates who did a year of college. Some did AFROTC and some were just regular students. I also know a couple who did 2 years of college. It’s definitely attainable.

Current 2 deg here. I played high school soccer all four years. I only played varsity during senior year and to be completely honest, if I didn’t want to come to the Academy, I wouldn’t have stuck with it my senior year.

USAFA is only one route to the end goal of commissioning. AFROTX offers plenty of opportunities to succeed and explore your potential. It all depends on how you view the cup of water.

You bring the sf86 packet with you to I day and hold onto it. Then during BCT, you have a day to input all that information into the computer system. And they use that to give you your respective security clearance.

During BCT, you will be issued an old M14 that has been filled with cement so it can no longer be serviced.

The point of BCT is to build the foundations to become an outstanding cadet, which is incredibly different from the mission of BMT. This is why training is so different.
