    Yes. You must pass the PFT, weight included. My DS had same issue. His Master Sergeant had him eating a lot of cheeseburgers, ordered him to eat double meals, and told other cadets that they needed to always see my DS with food in his hands! DS passed, but then grew in height. Had to keep eating.

    I don't think you avoided the question, but the selection committee will be reading hundreds of essays just like it. How can you make yourself stand out? For instance, how did you realize you wanted to be a nurse? Why the Navy? What's something interesting about you that will make an impression?

    While I'm a new member, I've been lurking for a year. First of all a THANKS for all the information here. My DS won a 3 yr to EIU during 3rd board! Today we learned his AMI remedials became "Qualified!!" The info about the process, where to get more information, and so much more has been invaluable.
