My Congressman personally told me that he awarded me a principal nomination (USNA). I was told by his staff that he usually just nominates an unranked ten (As he did for USAFA this year). Apparently, Congressmen choose their type of nominations on a year to year basis.

Tonight I heard second-hand about a jibe directed towards me for being accepted to USNA. The person said that USNA is the "woman's" academy. He went on to explain that the Marines are the men of the military.:yllol::shake: Talk about well informed!

For my USNA application I took one with the writing, and one without. They accepted both, but I believe that they prefer that you take it with the writing. Good luck!
