    my son has both - we were USAA members long ago - he also opened and now primarily uses NFCU - both are great - NFCU being on campus and its their free ATM on campus (USAA does give back like $20 a month in ATM fees) that convenience/access is why he opened nfcu

    Car insurance

    I called USAA yesterday scheduled setting DS to Non-Operator as of 7/2 - ins will drop $1255 - and he can still drive when he comes home on breaks - no need to update them unless he returns to being a full time driver

    We like to stay at the Spring Hill Suites on Frontage Road - nice hotel, pool, free breakfast, and about 5 mins from the front gate of the academy

    this is a reach but ... Maybe you could contact the academy and see if they might have a sponsor family that would help him out. A sponsor family is a local family that is there to support the cadets that are away from home

    AEP March 22

    wear comfy shoes to walk around - i like the spring hill suites to stay - its fairly cheap and and basically a straight 5 minute ride out the back of the lot - have fun and come with your questions - its a great time - we will be going to our 2nd aep in april if DS decides to go again

    you should try going through it 2 years in a row ... its a real blast - but no relief beats when you get the all good - until you start thinking about the next steps
