I got to the part where Heffington talks about history and I could not stop laughing. It is very true that regional history focuses on gender role changes over time. Being here for a few months, and I hate to say I am very disappointed.

Although it can sound scary to have your file closed until scores improve, it is still, possible to get accepted. My file was closed originally, and stayed closed for a while. I got my reading score up and now I'm here. Just worry about improving the score.

One thing I was taught was to strive for Scholar, Athlete, Leader (SAL). Scholar meaning class rank, SAT/ACT Scores, difficulty of courses. Athlete meaning a good APFT score, but for the scholarship it is 1 mile run, 1 min. sit up, and 1 min push up and athletic participation. Leader meaning...

I think what he is saying that if he were to apply to a typical civilian college they would just look at GPA and compare it to other students that are also applying. Therefore his would be lower because his school doesn't weigh GPA. But assuming that is what you meant, I don't think colleges...

Ditto. My USMA application opened later than others because my SAT scores were really low. But just because it doesn't open the same time as others it doesn't mean you don't have chance. I would also recommend taking the SAT as much as possible even if it is only a 10 point increase.

Although is pertains to USAFA, my MOC nominated 10 candidates for USAFA. 8 were appointed, one got prep school, the last one got a falcon scholarship. So it is possible for an entire slate to get something.
