Has anyone received the CO's welcome aboard email yet? I need to get plane ticket for my son soon / he asked a month or so ago and they said an email would go out but we haven't seen one yet. Are USD students typically assigned roommates that are also in NROTC?

My son put in a transfer unit request for his NROTC 4 year scholarship. The portal is updated as assigned to his new requested school. Will he receive a snail mail letter as well? Or, is it only shown in the portal? We want to pay college deposit etc.-I was thinking best to wait for an official...
