I've spent two years at VMI and each year 1 SEAL slot was awarded to an outstanding individual. I have also heard stories of some not taking a commission and instead Enlisting afterwords to get their chance to become a SEAL. Hope this helps.

I would say you are not in the surefire acceptance category. Many applications for the 2011-2012 year were turned down, and I would expect the competition can only get harder this year. Get those grades up, and retake the SAT. You need to be getting better in both categories. Good Luck to you.

Just another question here! So after one has been academically accepted, the Citadel requires a check for $300. Are you just supposed to mail that with any one of your forms? For example, could i send it in with the media release form and envelope, or should i send it with the medical forms, or...
