Ok, thanks. I ask because it seems that so many people drop and I just wasn’t sure why...I was curious what the standards of failure are - if candidates just weren’t motivated or in good enough shape, or if really good and motivated candidates can get dropped for seemingly small issues.

Thanks for the reply! I am aware that it would look good on a resume - but I also want to be involved in something that is service oriented, as well as build leadership and other skills. To clarify - I actually will be entering as an adult member, and the application I am referring to is OCS.

Oh really? Even if I resigned when my commission was up, I could cross over and join the guard SF?

What I mean is, doing IN would be best for SF, so I want to maximize my chances of getting it. I don’t have to be SF ready today - the important thing is to get IN and then work towards being ready for SF.
