My MOC's application asks for "College you are currently attending" and "College Courses Currently in Progress". If I will be entering college in Fall 2010 and have not registered for classes yet, should I leave the "College Courses Currently in Progress" section blank? I was thinking of...

I am also re-applying - but only for the first time for that matter. I was told by my ALO that the only MOC nominations I am eligible for are from my official state of residency. i.e. I will be attending a college in Florida next year but will be applying for noms from my homestate of California.

It's great to know that there are so many going the ROTC route. Attending a 4-year university and participating in ROTC seems like a great way of adding points to our application scores let alone being commissioned into the Air Force. Best of luck to each of you.

No news here... My counselor said that I will know by May 1st. He also made it clear that I am still being reviewed for an appointment - not a Prep School slot. Hope the same is true for your son. :smile: Good luck.

Thank you for the clarification, Christcorp. I guess at this point it's time that I just step back and wait. And if I don't make it this year, I have a plan B in place that I'm sure will help me when I reapply next year.

So, when I called my counselor last week, he told me that a load of TWEs would be arriving in mailboxes this week. And unfortunately... I guess he was right. However, my counselor also said that I would not be receiving a TWE this week since my application was still under review. I know none...

:frown: Just curious... Are these TWEs "Qualified, No Vacancy" letters? Or are they just straight denials?

I believe I was also offered the $11,000 scholarship. We're pretty lucky considering the near-$60,000 price tag, but like you said, both VT and Embry-Riddle are outstanding universities. Best of luck to you.

I believe that the BFE is sent to either the appointee or the appointee's ALO - never to the nominator. Others, please correct me if I'm wrong. USAFA does e-mail the nominator though should his/her nominee be appointed. I'm guessing a batch of "Qualified, No Vacancy" notifications will be...
