Ace the first quarter, my malo asked the great lakes commander about college transcripts and he said - "If a student takes difficult classes and does well, that can significantly boost the standing of their file. I don't use "significant" lightly. Obviously varying from case to case, it could...
An MSIII cadet that I spoke with at freshman orientation(who was on scholarship)told me that the book stipend was simply deposited into your account. They don't require book receipts, but if you're an idiot and spend the money on something other than the books you need then I suppose that's your...
Peter-
I don't believe that there is a universal "best" way to become an Army Officer. It is whatever path best suits the individual, or whatever path is available if you truly want to become an officer. I'm only nineteen, and haven't even worn a uniform, but that's my opinion as of now. West...
I will be in September! I have an AROTC scholarship to Ohio State. Definitely drop by and give them a visit; all of the cadre and the few cadets that I have met are great people. If you don't visit until fall, then maybe I'll see you!
P.S. - I urge your son to stay in Ohio, GO BUCKS:thumb:
Since I have already been qualified for arotc, will usma be able to pull that dodmerb exam and use it? I sent an email about it, but haven't heard anything.

I agree with the partner thing. Also, give crossfit a try, it is no joke, tried and true. Remember, don't train just to do apft exercises, train to be an all around athlete, and most of all a future soldier.
Okay, well about three months ago, I developed an overwhelming desire to attend West Point. Last summer I didn't think the academy was for me and I applied for, and was awarded, an AROTC scholarship instead. Well, I decided to try, because I don't want to go through life knowing I never did...
