I don't really feel the need to break them in too much. I think going on regular training walks leading up to BEAST will be all you need to break them in.

Update- I received the Garmont T8 Bifida boots and they fit great especially with the fox river socks. Thanks everyone for the recommendations!

I know that there are plenty of threads on this topic, but I just wanted to try and get current information, does anyone have an opinion on the best boots for Beast? Right now I am leaning towards Oakley Assault boots, but I have also heard good things about Nike and Garmont. Any advice helps...

No essays, last year we just had to click a button that we were interested. The essays for your West Point application will come when your second step kit opens in early June, about a week after SLE.

It's online, but I would assume you can only order if accepted.

When I did SLE last year the community username and password was given out when/if you were accepted to SLE. By opening your application you have applied to SLE.
