    All nominations are the same, they are the legal authoritah to offer you an appointment. The difference is the number of appointments that can be charged to each nominating source, which for ROTC/JROTC is very small only 20 appointments per year.

    I never had trouble balancing JROTC and track/xc. If I was a little late to practice because of JROTC my coach wold be okay with it. Granted, I only did drill for a year before avoiding it like the plague, but stuff like raider/orienteering fit into my schedule fine.

    Glasses or contacts at USAFA summer seminar?

    The only I would recommend for NASS is bringing glasses or goggles just in-case for the day you do Sea Trials. You will do a lot of PT in the mud and sand and getting something caught in your eye while wearing contacts can be a problem.

    Your instructor can only give you a nomination to sister academies if your unit is an Honor Unit with Distinction.
