Disappointingly, there wasn't even mention of my son's (or another 4 yr recipient)scholarship at the awards night. The school was well aware of both of their accomplishments and never even mentioned it. It's all good though- they worked hard to earn it, and we're so very proud!

When my son's financial aid award came, it had a student loan on it. When I inquired as to why we would need it when he also received full room and board, the councelor said to cover books and expenses until his money comes in. Is that an option for you? Maybe you can check with the financial...

My son had his physical a few weeks ago and his eye exam yesterday. DODMETS site says all paperwork has been submitted. Any idea how long until we find out the results? Thanks for any thoughts, The Mom :smile:

Thanks for the info. I'm sure he'll pass the vivid red/green test. Will they administer that on the spot? Or will he be given a remedial and then have to return for that test? Does anyone know?

My son is scheduled for his eye exam next week. We are fully aware that he is colorblind. What will the process be like? We he be given a remedial? Will they give him additional red/green tests right on the spot? Anyone have any idea of the process? Thanks!

Last week his status changed from the "schedule an interview" to "you can check your status " and I had emailed his point of contact at CC. She told me that he had indeed received a scholarship, but that she wasn't authorized to give us anymore information until the official letters went out...

My son's school choices were posted this morning and it listed his top 5 schools. Wooo hoooo He definitely wants to attend RIT, so now we just wait for snail mail.:thumb:
