Hi everyone, on another topic, does anyone know what general timing is of acceptance day? Trying to book flights and logistics. Is the parade in the morning and how long can you usually hang out at USAFA with your cadet? I appreciate any insight.

My DD received appointments to USNA and USAFA and having now followed this entire process, USNA did a much better job of reaching out to her, communicating, opportunities for Candidate visit weekends that are not available at USAFA unless your one of the select FVE which she was not and Navy...

I think its good news for you The same thing happened to my DD (with Dodmerb outstanding due to website debacle) and it my DD received a conditional appointment. I am guessing you will receive an appointment to USAFA conditional on Dodmerb soon. Congrats!

The same thing happened to my DD yesterday too, and the Congresswoman who nominated called her, didn't say she is receiving the appointment but congratulated her on the nomination she gave her a few weeks ago, but did say I believe you will be hearing from the Naval Academy soon......

Thanks! Helpful input. We check the portal too frequently. My DD received an LOA before Thanksgiving to Navy and this is the final step so she's anxious and excited (and me too) !

My DD is in the same position, she heard from MOC on her nomination to Navy the Wednesday before Thanksgiving by letter and still the portal is not updated. I'm guessing just patience as many have said

I would add that a mentor ALO can be very helpful when questions arise even after submitting the application so my DD's experience has only been positive and value add in establishing a relationship with her mentor ALO

Dodmerb instructions before physical exam say to stop non-essential medications 24 hours in advance of exam, does DD have to stop taking birth control pills? Doing so would mess up prescribed cycle of pills?
