Mid happy with exam results. Busy summer ahead. Getting things together for trip abroad. Then back for Plebe Summer. Cruise to somewhere after.

Mid Passed PCA. Long week with twelve week exams. Don't know why the exams had to be taken this week instead of next.

Our mid has an Egyptian trip, first set detailers, and a cruise.

Why no liberty for 3/C on Fridays until after spring break? We are flying in for a quick visit on President's weekend and hoped our Mid would be able to get permission to spend Friday night with us.

Our mid did get Egypt however we are not enthralled. Dept of State has been warning about travel abroad so this is a huge concern.

DD has been sick for the past three weeks. Did not have COVID but sinusitis and bronchitis. Whatever meds they gave her at BMU were useless. Makes me very angry knowing that she is not getting the right treatment. Spoke to her on Friday evening and she is still hacking away. I'm beginning to...

Wow, didn't know that they had such an ECA. My DD wouldn't have participated but it's something that I would have enjoyed seeing.

DH and I had barbecue brisket sandwiches from Buc-ees this week. Should you be looking to try out something different....those sandwiches were good...maybe even better than some of the grub we had at various locations on the way to the Academy.

DD got back on Friday night from Protramid in SD. The month was an expensive one. Daily shuttles from Pendelton to Oceanside were pricey, Uber, train and bus rides, many restaurant meals as either the galleys were closed when they got back from training, hence the hefty credit card statement...

DD figures it will be intense but we think she can do it, at least hopeful, as she did all AP courses in high school and did well in academics this past year. We are driving to the Academy this weekend to give her a boost before the intensity begins!

Just curious if those taking summer courses will finish up early or is this early finish just specific for Protramid?

Yes, we got three calls last year, the final one being the Sunday that the plebes met their sponsors.

It's pretty easy to get around Dublin. Buses are frequent although the weekend schedule might have less buses running. Taxis are plentiful and there is also the Dart service. Aviva stadium is on the southside and it is pretty well serviced transportation wise. Don't know Mids arrangement on...

DD back from Sailing. She did enjoy the Block Island and Boston stop overs. Had a harrowing trip back as they left the Atlantic for Delaware Bay. Winds forty five knots and waves between ten and fifteen feet high. Sick, cold and very wet as they made it through and sailed on. She did fly out...

DD has sailing first block, heading for Boston, not terribly enthused. She is looking forward to Protramid for second. Taking two summer courses for third to lighten her fall load.

That awful moment when Bancroft's doors close has a sense of finality.....it just lends itself to tears!!

So happy for my plebe....in Company 17!!
