I know it's probably a stupid question, but what does DS stand for?

It is very gratifying as a parent to watch the cc do all the legwork, wait an eternity to get the appointment, go slay the beast, and stand on his own two feet at 18 yrs old at the academy! Stand back and watch em, it's awesome!

What is the best plan for A-Day as far as lodging? I stayed in Newburgh for R-Day, but I'm thinking if our cadet wants to come hang out w/ us this is too far away. There didn't seem to be too many places to stay that were close by. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

My son got the TWE about 3 weeks ago or so and received his appointment this past Saturday, so hold out hope!!

What is the best way to go about booking travel plans for R-Day? Do the cadets need to arrange their travel through the portal, or can I book the travel plans in the normal fashion? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I tried looking at older posts, but couldn't find that info. Thanks!
