When Do AFROTC 3 Year Scholarships Activate

I know that you do ROTC as a freshman and then the scholarship activates in your sophomore year, but I am wondering about DoDmerb and also wondering how the scholarship works with when tuition comes due each year?

Why can't I get into my DoDMERB account?

I was just at the new DodMerb website and it seems you need to first establish a "new" login account with your info, then it will let you in...The website has the following message: All applicant's LOGINS were deleted from 22 Mar 2011 and earlier. If you had one of those accounts, login as a...

Can I accept Merit-based Scholarship Money in Addition to the NROTC Scholarship?

Check With the Financial Aid Dept. My son has also received merit-based scholarships and it seems that whether you can use it for room and board entirely depends on the school. For instance RPI said that if he has a ROTC scholarship they will simply take away the Merit-Based scholarship. End...

Schools that lower tuition for type 7 recipients

You cannot use a Type 7 scholarship out of state, but you can convert it to a 3 Year Type 2 Scholarship. (You do ROTC as a freshman, but no scholarship or stipend the first year. Then the scholarship kicks in when you are a sophomore as long as you are still medically qalified.) My son is...

Can Type 2 3-Year AFROTC be used in-state?

So if they allow it as a 3-Year Type 2 I am committed to going out of state and cannot then go to an in-state school (w/ an AFRTOC scholarship anyway)?

Can Type 2 3-Year AFROTC be used in-state?

Not trying to be pessimistic, but my out-of-state schools are very competitive (Cornell & Stanford). So, it would help to understand what the consequences are if I don't get in.

Can Type 2 3-Year AFROTC be used in-state?

If I request that they change my Type 7 4-year scholarship to a Type 2 3-year scholarship, and I don't get in to the our of state schools, would I be able to convert it back to an in-state scholarship? Can I use the Type 2 3-yr at one of the in-state schools or must I go out of state?

Air Force ROTC board problem now...

Similar profile. My son is grateful to have received a scholarship, but a little disappointed that it was a type 7. His first choice for schools is the University of Notre Dame, others were in-state. So far he has a Presidential Scholarship to the University of Portland (applied early) and...

    High School GPA

That is our experience. We live in Colorado where you can dual enroll in high school/college classes as a junior & senior. The AFA left my son's GPA as is (4.0) and did not adjust it either up or down.
