Had a great time watching the Blue Angels today! Ran into a guy wearing a "USNA Dad" shirt so we had to stop and chat. His son went to NAPS last year and he spoke so highly of the experience. He reinforced how much of a difference that time made in helping him prepare (current Plebe c/o 2027).

I believe the "no waiver needed" thing in the Army ROTC portal is related to the application and questions on there that might require a waiver (non-medical issues). My DD's Army ROTC portal has always said "no waiver needed" but DODMERB has changed throughout the process - now reads "Waiver...

Not necessarily...it depends on where you live and what the local laws are. It was my DD's first and only traffic violation...also at a low speed. Read everything on the ticket...what are your instructions? Follow that and you should be good to go.

They're going to ask for all the "legal documentation" that resolved the situation. DD reported a speeding ticket on both USMA and USNA applications and at different times admissions emailed back asking for all of the documentation including the ticket and then any paperwork showing how it was...

I'm sorry to hear no upgrade. I'd definitely reach out to Mr. Manning in Corps recruiting and also the Corps scholarship office. That figure seems high to me...our son didn't have any ROTC type scholarships (non-military) and w/in state tuition living in The Commons (similar to Corps housing)...

The portal has a message at the top now that says board has completed and all decisions should be out by April 5, 2024.

DD received a "Waiver Granted" status from ROTC last month. She's in "waiver limbo" w/other program(s).

Fun fact...Commandant McDonough shared at the north Texas Blue Chip dinner that he had a son graduate last May from Texas A&M and commission Marines. After the dinner was over I turned to my DD and said "Well if it's good enough for him..." She said "That's your takeaway?!?" LOL
