DS has been under waiver for months. Mild asthma induced by allergies. We live in the Ohio valley and allergies are terrible here. The waiting is terrible. We have moved on with Plan B just in case.

This hurry up and wait is hard to deal with. But the wait, hopefully, will be worth it. Just have a plan B in place.

My son did the same thing. Move forward with Plan B until we get word from USAFA. Better to be safe than sorry.

Has anyone received an approval on a waiver for Asthma? Son got a great letter from his allergy doctor even though he failed the last stage of the MCT (26%). The other 4 stages he was under 20%. Doctor stated he had excellent lung function and that he highly recommends him for military service.

My son just got his request for the MCT and pulmonologist from DODMERB also. Going to try to schedule it ASAP. Don't care about the cost if it helps him get into USAFA.

you can't ask for a waiver. USNA will do that for you if they think you are a good candidate.
