Homecoming Actually, Homecoming weekend is September 24, 25, & 26. And it is a fun time for all...alumni, parents, friends, family, etc. All are welcome!

Just got the call around 2:45...so I hadn't left the house yet. My son is in 1st Company & was able to talk 15 minutes. Sounded good & more relaxed than in previous calls. Now I'm really leaving to enjoy what's left of the day :thumb:

Has anyone heard from their PC yet today? I was wondering if it will be the same 5 minute Sunday call now that Indoc is over. It's been great to be in touch electronically, but I'm looking forward to hearing his voice so am staying close to home waiting for the call.:confused:

Phone Call Just got our call around 9:00 from our son in 1st Company. He sounded good. He has new roommates & has already moved into a new room. I forgot to ask if he changed platoons...said they were calling early b/c they would be on the waterfront this afternoon.

Lilcola99: My understanding is that the football team will have practice mid-afternoon (2:00 or 2:30 or so) on Sunday of Parents Weekend. But then they would be off on Monday. So we're just planning to stay in a hotel in the area during the weekend liberty...maybe at most take a trip into NYC if...

Shutterbug, my son is also in 102 & we got our 1st letter today. Most important thing he wrote is PLEASE send care package of food...enough for 37 pc's + 5 DI's. I sent you a PM with more details. And we did give him stamped, self-addressed envelopes with questions listed.
