We waited close to 4 months for a waiver rebuttal. It was only after our MoC send a second inquiry that DODMERB finalized it (actually the very next day) and resulted in a … denial. I guess they don’t like pushy folks, LOL.

Did you try contacting your assigned mentor ALO? Our ALO has been very helpful and from our own experience, they have back channel communications open with the academy, which is not accessible to applicants. Give that a try, IMHO. Edit: Or how about contacting the MoC who nominated your son...

It was mentioned previously that ETPs are decided around once a month subject to every stakeholder’s availability. I would imagine that it would be on a rolling basis, probably the next one is in that timeframe.

From what we are told, it HAS to be initiated by the academy. A candidate cannot request it (I guess one could always ask for it with nothing to loose) If the academy deems a candidate a good fit for appointment, they invite the candidate to apply for ETP (which entails releasing medical records...

Wow, I wonder if he will miss the boat then. He has been asked to schedule a medical exam late April, so we shall see if this results in a heartbreak due to running out of time. The offer of ETP came from the admission committee. Any suggestions you can offer?
