Will a file be looked at by admissions without the 2st semester grades from College? That is the only thing left on DS portal. I am asking because he didn't do so great in one class and is retaking it this semester. He has tried to reach out to the academy and liason but no one has gotten back...

DS rec'd nominations to AFA and USMA back in late Dec. anyone know how long it takes to show up this year. Last year his showed up sooner we thought.

DS just looked at his phone and got a message sometime today from Rush Holt that he has his nomination to AFA and West Point! It is is second year appling. Last year was WL for both. Anyone else hear yet from NJ?:smile:

DS was wlns from last year and has decided to re-apply this year. He did so and now his online status say "you have been selected to change your status to Candidate......look for more information to follow" or something like that. Anyone else see that on theirs? thanks!

If you accept an AROTC scholarship can you use it for a year and then apply to the AFA the next year without a problem? Or do you need to apply USMA if you are in AROTC? The problem is that DS got a 4 year AROTC scholarship and is waiting on AFA and USMA but really wants AFA for next year but...

DS have been getting a slew of emails from Army recruiters saying that he wasn't selected for West Point and to join the army. So being the mom I am I called one of them and asked how they got his number and email. They said it was from West Point. My question is why hasn't his portal changed...
