I apologize sir, what I meant when I said better was more intensive or more focused, as opposed to Miami where the main focus is not on a Corps but on a separate training. It is definitely a tough choice, and I will be sure to contact them and try to gather as much info as I can.

I was talking about those (like me) who did apply for an AROTC scholarship, but whose hands have been tied so far due to the NWL.

Someone once told me that there is another board after the final normal board for those who were QNS, Qualified but Not Selected, off the West Point national waiting list. Is there any truth to this? Thank you

I think the senators said something like due to the high volume of applicants, don't expect to hear back unless you are selected for an interview.

Heard the good news from Congresswoman Lowey (NY18) today. It was posted two days ago. Had interviews with both senators (schumer and gillibrand) end of november/beginning of december (respectively) and have not heard back yet. Hope this helps!

I think I goofed a bit also. I felt that for the most part I did very good in my MOC interview. There were about 6 people on the board I was interviewing with. Most of them told me I was very impressive and that they thought I did well. I did, however, while talking, perhaps even indirectly...

But it wouldn't be very helpful for the APFT 2-Mile run. :thumbdown: My advice, as unprofessional as it may be, drop it before you even think of applying. You'll do yourself a favor in both the CFA and APFT.

Just read through the entire thread. After all those questions, how'd you do? I do have a question if anybody can help me: I live about 45 minutes from WP, is the experience much different for someone who lives pretty close? (i.e. off-post, etc.?)

Same situation, but waiting on a waiver for USMA. Today the AROTC part showed up for me too. Does this mean we were offered scholarships and just haven't received notification yet?
