After DS returned from SS at USNA, we were contacted by an admissions officer who then made arrangements to come from MD to our home in SD to speak with us. Does this happen to all who attend the SS? our app is complete, Ds is triple Q'd, has an ROTC nom and awaiting to hear from our MOC.

I see the term "3Q" used frequently here. Can someone clarify its meaning? I assume it refers to official qualification, but aside from official notification of scholastically qualified, what are the other 2 areas and do you typically receive official notification of qualifying in those areas?
