    Pilot Vision Requirements

My DD (2015) was out of waiver range and got an exception to policy. So if you might be initially not qualified, you still may able to fly.

    Two appointments same neighborhood.

When my DD was a 4C (class of 2015) there were 3 other young women from her 700 student high school at the Academy.

USAFA 4th Class Cadet Willing to Answer Questions

If you are truly an 8th grader, you are putting the cart before the horse. Many boxes to check and hoops to jump through before you need to worry about what to bring. Good luck! My DD had wanted to go to USAFA since 7th grade.

    Running track/XC at USAFA

My DD graduated last year. She ran cross country/indoor/outdoor track all 4 yrs. Middle and distance runners are in season the whole year, workouts , practices or long runs on own, almost daily. Is it easier for a girl to get accepted?

A 3Q female would probably have a better chance than a similar male because the candidate pool is much smaller. ( I suspect the percentage of female applicants is less than 20-25% of the total)

    Graduation and Security

Thank you, BlahuKuna. I have no sense of "Entitlement", just wondering what to expect and what to tell friends and family, for DD's graduation. Sorry for the sarcasm LITS.

    Graduation and Security

I also was referring to events throughout the week, not just the graduation. Do not want to be late for awards, parades, receptions, commissioning, etc.

    Graduation and Security

I hope some resolution or adjustment is made with the security issues for graduation occur or it may be a nightmare getting onto the Academy grounds for grad week. Since the threat is nebulous and non-specific I don't know how likely security will be adjusted.

    Summer Seminar Controversy

From what I understood, getting accepted for SS means the Academy deems you likely to be a well qualified candidate, therefore you are then in a pool of candidates more likely to get an appointment. (because of their qualifications, not because you went to SS).SS is to help make your decision...
