I was told by my OSO last week that I received the Scholarship and that I would get the package in the mail this week. Has anyone received theirs yet?

Hmm, I'm not sure which district I am in..how would I find this out? Also, I am still waiting for my packet from NROTC. The Captain just gave me a heads up last week that I should be receiving it soon.

Where I live we have mailboxes all in one box with keys for each house on the street. Then there is a big box for packages and if you get a package then the mailman puts the key in your normal box. So my friends have gotten theirs in the package space because yes it is too big for the normal...

I too was rejected for the NROTC early board but for Marine Option. I got a call last week that I was selected for the scholarship on the second board. Biggest surprise of my life because I was starting to think I'd be more likely to be appointed to USNA. Hang in there everyone!

Not it at all. Just a curious observation. I've been dedicated to becoming a Marine Corps Officer since I was six years old, so no, I'm not after ribbons. I'm just interested in small details that's all.

Are MO in NROTC being issued MARPATs? Also, what is the standard uniform/equiptment issue for MOs at most units? And why do Naval Academy Midshipmen seem to earn more ribbons than NROTC Mids? NROTC uniforms don't look as sharp for some reason. Maybe I am crazy.

I know your pain! I received a presidential as well as an MOC and I was wondering that same thing. My friend last year who was appointed to USAFA received his appointment in late March and he had a presidential nom. It's killin me!(And probably you too!!) :eek:
