To those who just finished Beast

    1) R-day; what was the worst part about it for you? - Leaving family behind, lugging around a flight-bag from hell, heels on the wall, not knowing what is going on. You are basically cattle, for lack of a better word. 2) Did you feel like you prepared yourself well for beast? In...

    Jake's goodbye

I would also like to offer my gratitude for the help and wealth of information SAF has provided me. Good Luck and God Bless!

    Issued Boots?

So we won't be wearing the boots we had the option of purchasing beforehand?

Copy of your dental and medical X-Rays

So if I've mailed the medical and dental x-rays, I don't have to bring a copy with me on R-Day? That would be great if that's the case

Any ideas what the truth is in this story?

I don't think they had a right to beat him up. I wish him luck in court and I hope he doesn't get separated for what some crappy bodyguards did...

    Tattoos Prior to R-Day

I understand the stance of those in opposition of tattoos and those in favor of allowing them. I also respect the opinions of those who say that getting them is stupid/immature/etc. I have had one --that I have wanted for religious reasons-- since I was 18 (before I was appointed). I love it...

    Tattoos Prior to R-Day

I sense some serious hostility toward tattoos. A tat does not define an individual -- hopefully people can understand that.

    Fender Bender....

The people I hit were really cool about it all and we didn't even get the police involved -- mainly because it was so minor. I might as well just run it by admissions, just so no surprises occur. Thank you everyone!

    Fender Bender....

I had a very minor car accident the other day. I literally tapped the vehicle in the front of me due to my changing of the radio (I know, I know). No one was injured. Their car sustained minimal damage and my '90 Ford Bronco is bulletproof. This is my first vehicle collision. Question...

    Breaking in Low quarters

Yeah, I'm sure one will pop up without my authorization at some point. Oh well, I thought it looked spiffy

    Osama bin Laden is DEAD

Word on the street is that he was given the option to surrender, but refused. Then it was lights out. I agree that it was a good call for the guys on the ground to take him down on site.

    Osama bin Laden is DEAD

I've heard they used DNA from his siblings to confirm it was him. My only regret is that I wasn't on that team who took him down; had to have been the most awesome mission ever...

    Breaking in Low quarters

Same here. Wore them around school for a few days. Looked like a goof because I had shorts on :thumb:

    Computer Preference option

I doubt I'll need to external monitor right away because I'm bringing my current lappy up than can function as another monitor. I'll just make it work as best I can. It wouldn't be optional if it was absolutely necessary

    Computer Preference option

haha I can't afford $500 sadly. Can't you bring up any external accessories such as mouse, speakers (the laptop has speakers built in already so...), etc? I'm sure the library and, as mentioned, company printers are available. What is the use for another monitor? Docking station would be...

    Training for Beast

That's my plan. There's always more than one way to skin a cat, and I figure I might as well learn how to the West Point stuff by the West Pointers as opposed to learning from another source - possibly learning the wrong way!

    So what did I miss?

    lol good one :thumb:

    So what did I miss?

West Point won Sandhurst?!?! Awesome! I would like to do that one day. Anywhere I could read about the most recent competition?

    Sprint Football

I'll be playing on the Sprint Team next year for Army. I was recruited out of High School, so I'm still not sure about the walk-on process. If you are going to West Point next year, I'd get in touch with the coach and tell him you are interested in playing and what you need to do.
