Heard that 2 for 7 signing is going on today. Son did his paperwork this morning!

Congrats to all involved. :thumb:

I don't think crossing your fingers while signing would help.
 
I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the 2 for 7 hoopla. Doesn't the simple fact that they haven't submitted a letter of resignation, commit them. On I-Day, they didn't simply sign on for two years, did they?
 
actually you do, in the paperwork you receive in the mail accepting the appointment and a list of other paperwork you sign on I-day stating what happens if you leave early what you owe back etc.

And they have to sign the 2 for 7 paperwork, "they" will come track you down if you don't (i.e. you forgot to turn it in and went to class) it's a nice contract you sign, just like you sign a contract at each promotion saying you either accept or deny your promotion and you get sworn in all over again
 
If a midshipman were to leave a the end of their plebe year what do they owe USNA? Do they owe the balance of the loan?
