1. How can I find out what company my DS is in?

2. How can I access the indoc photos I've heard so much about?

Thanks.

O.k easiest question first. There will be a link on the parents page each day that photos are available. Be prepared to spend many hours going through them. The good news is that you will see photos of your plebe candidate almost every day. The bad news is that there may not be photos every day and at the end of Indoc you may go through a withdrawal period. As for his company, that can be a little trickier. If you were lucky enough to see him or her as they lined up for lunch then the companies are numbered from right to left as you face Delano Hall. 1st, 2nd, Band, 3rd and 4th. There has been talk of an extra company this year so you may have to adjust this a bit. In any case a roster is usually posted on the parents page as well but this may take a day or two. In the meantime dig through those photos like a deranged stalker until you see your kid. Good luck, congratulations and don't worry too much they are in good hands.

Last year, the photos were posted on the Parent's Page at http://usmma.edu/parents.

It may take some searching at first to find out which company your DS is in as the photos will probably be broken down by company. We dropped off our son at Indoc last year but never spotted him again that day and didn't find out his company until going through the photos.

In 2009 there was a link on one of the Parents Pages a couple of days into Indoc with the PCs names and their company assignments....I don't know if they will still let that be done though...

Check the pictures!

If you are lucky enough to see a photo of your son or daughter from the 1st day of Indoc, they will usually have a number written on their hand corresponding with the company which they are assigned. Good luck! This is probably a tougher time on the parents than on the plebe candidates! Try to not read anything into the pictures you might see. Your kid is fine. Maybe tired and overwhelmed but growing and learning. The academy takes good care of these young people and you will see an improvement in their demeanor and appreciation towards those they love when you see them again on Parent's Weekend. And without a doubt you will be so proud, of not just your pc, but of all the pc's and being a small part of such an impressive organization!
