I know that the passing scores for the CFA are not made public. However, I am wondering if a 1 mile run that is 2 seconds slower than the average 2 mile run time is something with which to be concerned. All the other CFA events are above average.

    Seconds

I assume you meant 2 seconds off the 1 mile time. I wouldn't worry about it. My DD passed and she was below average in one or two areas.

Are you saying your 1 mile time was the same as the average 2-mile time?

or that your 1 mile time was 2 seconds slower than the average 1mile time?

    there's a huge difference...

Well, an average run time is an average because about 50% of the run times are faster and about 50% of the run times are slower. So unless you think 90% or more of the slower run times are within 1 second of the average, I strongly suspect you have nothing to worry about.

I would have thought someone applying to an academy could have reasoned this one out. You're fine. :thumb:

I am meant one minute time. Sorry about the typo.

I was not clear if the average was of everyone that attempted the CFA or of the average CFA for those that were accepted. Therefore, I am not sure it is a fair assessment to make about someone's ability to reason simply because they ask for help in clarifying a point, whether or not they are applying to West Point.

The averages posted are for those accepted to WP.

You have a good point. I meant it half in jest anyway. I should have included a smilie! Good luck! :thumb:
