2010 INDOC Photo Thread (Class of 2014)

Thanks

Yes, USMMAsoccermom is correct,

As one of the candidate parents I would like to offer me deepest thanks to the people that are finding time to take pictures and post them for us.

It really is a great relief to catch a glimpse of DS. Even though he's only been in the background in a couple of photos he looked fine and was even smiling in one!

Thank you!!:thumb:

Calls home and "Parents Page" pictures

I have just received this in an email from the academy:

FYI – I have just posted the following on the parents webpage. Please share with your members. Take care.
ATTENTION Plebe Candidate Parents:

The first opportunity for plebes to call home will be
Sunday, July 18th. Be available for the calls then.

FYI - We are having technical challenges in posting the
Indoc photos right now but, hopefully, will
be resolved shortly.

If you have seen all the photos and can not find your DS or DD do not worry, my son never showed his face, I just figured if he misses muster they would notify me!!

Still looking for pictures of my son

I was not able to bring my son to Indoc day. How do I find out what company he is in?

I believe they will post a list soon. Probably on the parents page. You may also see your candidate holding up fingers. Three would be 3rd Co. A closed fist is Band Co. I think I saw a group holding up 3 and 2, which would be Company 302.

thanks for posting photos. I found my DS. He looks good, strong and determined which is good. I thought everyone was to have their hair cut to the scalp but he didn't have it cut. He still has the same hair cut he had when he went in although it was very short. I had read in some other post where one had very short hair like my son and yet they still cut his hair. This was a surprise to me and without all the hats on, he was definitely easy to spot.
Thanks again.

Looking at other photos from Waterfront and from Indoc, I see my son is not the only one that didn't get his hair cut. It was still good to see him.

Thanks Again to all

It's great to see all these pics of our son's and daughter's and the things they are doing. Thanks to the people who invented the digital camera and internet (Al Gore - haha). What did those parents do before all this was available.:shake:

before internet and digital photos

"Back in the day" before internet and digital photos PC's were dropped at the gate, they waved goodbye and parents had no idea what was happening. The campus was truly " a closed campus" during the entire indoc period. They waited on long lines to use the pay phones when they were finally allowed to call home and you were lucky to get a scribbled note via snail mail.

Thanks to all that have taken the time to take and post pictures. The internet age has given those on the outside far more insight into the process than ever before. Actually this year there are many more videos; thank you KP waterfront; than last year. Enjoy watching your kids and hang on for the ride. It's just beginning.

Keep those photos and videos coming!

Does anyone know what company and platoon went to the waterfront yesterday? Day 6?
