2018 CGA Waitlist

My DS notified them that he no longer wanted his place on the wait list as he has accepted an appointment to the Naval Academy. One less person in the pool. Good luck to everyone.
 
Not that I know of, we aren't home though. Breathe and know that all things are just as they should be.:thumb: I am trying to let go and know that all good things
will come...no matter what. My DS wants to be a rescue pilot. He will be determined to make that happen...

Congrats! Curious- how did your son reply to the last email? Did he say he would need a few days to consider or that he would definitely accept? Best wishes for a bright future!

Interesting that you Son received an appointment via email. My son received the email last week stating that appointments would be done via phone calls.
 
He said he would accept right away. he has to send in his acceptance by Thursday.

Got an email last night as well! My admissions officer also called me this morning. I wish everyone else still on the wait list good luck and do not give up hope!

Congrats to all who have been appointed. I am new here but have been following along for several weeks as my Son is on the waitlist and anxiuosly awaiting a call. From the last couple of days it appears only 2 candidates have received calls thus far. If acceptance of those 2 was to be given NLT Thursday than we should have heard something by now. Does anyone know the first waive number of candidates being sought from the wait? I'm hopefull that it is more than 2!

I've been told by AO that 20 have been offered direct appointments so far from the waitlist. They will be looking at the needs throughout May and offer more from the waitlist if needed. I know my DS is still waiting to hear, keeping his fingers crossed. I believe there were 150 on the list.
 
Thanks Options Open that is good information to know. Looks like we'll have to wait in see what round 2 brings!
