2018 Competition v. Past Classes

I wanted to start a discussion to see if anyone, MALO/FFRs included, had any input on the overall competition of the C/O 2018. I was browsing through the LOE list and noticed that the data of those who received a LOE. Is this uneducated guess of mine true? It was mentioned a few months ago that apps are down in numbers...is this still true? Just want to keep the conversation going with an interesting question. I heard that applications were down, but I have no confirmation if this is true or not.

I would imagine that competition is a fierce as usual. The number of people who receive an LOE/LOA is not necessarily the best means of identifying competition.

I don't think anyone will be able to give an exact percentage as the number changes year to year, but as a wild guess, I would say no more than 15/20%.
