I don't believe that has been shared officially.

Class of 2018 had 1206, we're now down to 1127. My squad had two kids leave yesterday, one happened to be my roommate :(

Too lazy to google.

I can't remember if it is 4000 or 4400 max at the AFA.It is DOD that determines the number.

Assume that 18 will graduate with 900 or 15% less than curent, in the end it would be25% attrition.

Most leave the first year. Average it out and @1350 is the number they can offer. Basically, what they have offered for the last three years compared to the 1650 offered 5 years ago.

I would go with the number that 1300-1400 will be offered.
~ Sequestration will be a factor for the military for at least 8 more years.

Pima is correct. Usually, the two numbers involved are:

1. No more than 4400 total cadets at the academy
2. No more than 1000 graduates per year.

This doesn't always work out. For instance, the class of 2012 had approximately 1280 walk into BCT. On graduation, there were about 1070. And during that time, the academy fluctuated above 4400.

So, the answer to "How Many" appointments will be offered this coming spring, for the class of 2019 is........ "Whatever the academy wants". I wouldn't go as high as 1350-1400, although it is possible. Chance are, it will be between 1175-1250. Why did I pick those numbers? Because I've seen more than enough classes go through, and I know that the air force and academy still have financial and personnel goals they want to reach. So that is my guess. It could be 1050 and it could me 1350.

Thank you all! DD got LOA and nomination this week so hopefully she is one of that number.
