Saw this for a previous year and thought I would go ahead and start a new thread for this year because we all know the feeling of opening that mailbox to one more pizza coupon and that is all. :bang: Opening with a small and in significant question but maybe helpful in managing DS's Weekly expectations. Is there any trend to when admissions releases BFE's or TWE's during the week? It seems that there is a large onslaught of recipients around certain days of the week. Does anyone know if they tend to send decisions towards the beginning or weeks end? Also, am I correct to understand that acceptances come in a BFE and rejections and LOA come in a TWE and NAPS or foundation comes through email? Thanks all! I know it's a bit OCD but if we could change this about ourselves, we would! :yllol: Best of luck to you all and remember the true golden ticket is commissioning day, however you get there! BFEs or TWEs should not even be released for a long time as the application deadline is not even over yet.
 
It is my understanding that a few BFE's have already gone out to a few outstanding candidates with presidential noms. My DD hopes to get a BFE if she gets a MOC nom. She got an LOA several weeks ago and is 3 Q'd.
 
Most of these BFEs are mostly early applicants, who started a while back..triple Qd sometimes doesn't guarentee an apointment, they're many who dont have 3 noms or a presidential and they still get appointed with just a congressional
 
I'm joining the MBSC! (MailBox Stalker Club). This year is challenging for me because although I know in my mind its very early in the process and most appointees don't hear anything yet, my heart is hoping for something sooner rather than later, because both my other two midkids had appointments in hand by this time during their senior year. Its a struggle to see my now senior, with, in my opinion, a stronger package than both her siblings not hearing anything. We moved to a new state just after dropping 2016 mid off at I-day, I hope that doesn't negatively impact DDs chances!
 
I have been racing to the mailbox for weeks. Losing hope for LOA but then again DD's packet is complete. BGO says she has been "qualified" whatever that means. I had a deal with DD: if nothing arrives by October 15 we rush headlong into plan B, C and D. Completed all apps and submitted on Sunday. That process helped me see that there are great options besides USNA. My DD does not see it this way, though.
 
Just an FYI BFE for DS did not arrive until mid-January last year, and there were many more still arriving for others in Feb, March, and I believe even April. Do not give up the ship! Good luck to all! I have not forgotten the stress in our lives last year!
 
Moving forward to plan B is definitely the best option. Last year we were aggressively going after all the plan B choices when our MOC called my DS in the middle of class to pass on the good news (the MOC left a voice mail message since my DS didn't pick up in the middle of class). The BFE arrived about seven days after the MOC phone call.

My advice is to not think about a BFE or TWE every day until you get one or else you will go nuts. :smile:

Empty mailbox by Wednesdays?

Does anyone know if decisions are usually sent at the beginning or the end of the week? I thought I read somewhere that they tend to go out on Fridays. Any truth to this? Just curious!

b1driver...Congratulations! Now depending on where you live, it could have have taken just a few days to receive are a few weeks. Still keeping fingers and toes crossed here for a BFE! I know it is early but we can dream can't we
