Mine is B. There was a kid who's last name started with a F and his said "unknown" before mine so I don't think it is by alphabet.

Wait until the status changes have actually been and you receive your official letter telling you what type of scholarship and which schools have been offered. There is a chance you may receive a phone call from a ROO before the letter arrives in which case great. Now is not the time to bug them."

They do not post or update in alphabetical order, people have tried go figure out the method for years, it is all random, you'll go nuts trying to figure out if there is some system to how the post results.

Just some thoughts looking through the page. The message displayed under "Unknown" reads "This applicant has been disqualified for a scholarship due to disqualifying reported applicant information or because a waiver has been denied". This, however, is the same text, word for word, displayed as a description of the "Disqualified" status in the list below. My (optimistic) guess is that due to some sort of system error, hopefully because they are in the process of uploading acceptances, the system displays unknown. Since there is no option for unknown in the descriptions, it displays the text form the first available status, IE Disqualified. I don't think this is very well said but these are the ramblings of a very anxious teenager.

EDIT: Of course, 30 seconds after posting, the text below now reads "Your Current status is "Unknown" please click 'Contact Us' at the top of the page to notify an administrator."
 
Under the unknown tab, it now says, "Your Current status is "Unknown" while your information is being processed. Please check back later to see if the status has changed. If your status has still not changed from unknown, click 'Contact Us' at the top of the page to notify an administrator."
 
Just saw this in place of the "DQ" message...

Now it says this......"Your Current status is "Unknown" please click 'Contact Us' at the top of the page to notify an administrator."

My gut tells me that all of you who saw the UNKNOWN status are about to receive the lucky email. Still hoping for miracle for DS but at least he hasn't monitored this site all day so he won't know to be disappointed.

I hope we receive a lucky email...... I don't have class until 3:30 and I have been just sitting her in the library clicking refresh for an hour now..... haha
 
If we have the message to contact them if our status is "Unknown," should we send CC a quick message? Or is that completely unnecessary, as I don't wish to bother/add to the piling messages.

You should contact them. I think they have to go into each individual's application and fix it who is having that problem.

My DS's says that too...deep breaths...
