Are you in college? If so, are you part of an NROTC unit? When DS got his TWE two years ago, he was advised by the USNA regional coordinator that he should go to college, join the NROTC unit, and do well in both. He was told that would help his application. He didn't follow through with his reapplication, so I don't know if that advice is true, but it certainly couldn't hurt.

I'm with Kat on this. Are you in college now? What has happened since HS graduation? Summers? College grades? Classes? Activities? What were your weak points in your past applications? Do you know? You need to fill us in a bit more.

If it is any consolation, I went to 2 years of college (applied 3 times) before I got an appointment and never regretted any of it. I am glad USNA turned me down when it did.

I am in college, I'm about to go into my second year at the community college in my home town ( can't afford to go to any of the schools i got into right after high school. ) I'm going to be finished with my AA next spring. My CC does not have an NROTC unit but i am involved in student government as well as a few clubs on campus. I have not taken chemistry or calculus yet but i will be done with both of those by the end of the coming Fall semester. I maxed a good portion of my CFA and had Two nominations last year( Presidential and congressional). I know my weak areas and am working hard to fix them.

Sounds like you're doing the right things. If you're interested in the Marine Option you should explore PLC as a backup plan to USNA. Also, I believe you could apply for a two year NROTC scholarship as part of the college program, but you would need to talk to someone at an NROTC unit about this. It MIGHT be a viable plan C regardless of your choice between Navy and Marine Options.
