3 Senior Military Colleges in Money Magazine's Top 50

The Citadel is #86 (out of 2,000+ U.S. colleges); the rankings factor in affordability, scholarships available, student debt, graduation rate and graduate earnings.

Looks like they used in state tuition for VMI anyway
Turtle, you're right and I saw that too--looking at VMI's site I found it interesting that at least 60% of VMI cadets now have to be Virginia residents.
Especially important and useful for parents:
1-If you go to the Money rankings, click on any of the colleges and it will bring you to a college-specific page
2-Scroll down and pay close attention to the "% of Need Met"--this percentage is VERY important; it tells you how many students have to leave because of money and gives an indication as to whether or not the college takes care of it's students... you want schools over at least 60% ...and 100% is EXCELLENT.
There are exceptions to every rule, but in this case higher the number -- the better the school... and the better the school's final price-tag. ;)

Money Magazine is pretty good about how they do their rankings, IMHO.
But for you guys, that's great! Outstanding accomplishment in that regional category!
And it's great to be in the top 100 in this category as well--well done!
Also speaks to the maritime academies to be ranked highly as #43 and #62 in Money--well done all!

Don't know why tiddlywinks was mentioned... seems a bit out of place:confused:, but whatever floats yer boat...

Sure you know why... because the continued subject is trivial... I'd rather check the tiddly wink college rankings than continue to take every cheap shot at bashing good, reputable schools, in an underhanded coy way, just because it ain't yours...
A little late responding I see...ummm I never believed in reincarnation ;)

I have no favorite in this ridiculous ongoing "game" that certain posters continue to play as Cluelessparent has accurately stated. Both schools are terrific and have long storied histories. @bruno and @glen are great examples of alums that represent these SMC's well.

However it is sad to see a handful of posters continue to waste time attempting to initiate conflicts....and it is CLEARLY one side that perpetuates this nonsense. :(

Tiddlywinks may be great for some folks--Again, y'all knock yourselves out.:thumb:
But for those on the top 50 list... great accomplishment!
