I have been reading the forums and have seen a lot of talk about being 3QD. What exactly does this mean? I'm assuming medically, physically, academically but am I supposed to receive a letter in the mail stating this? I received a letter from DODMERB stating that I was medically qual'd but nothing about physically or academically. I see no reason why I wouldn't be qual'd in either of these areas as I am taking all AP classes and getting good grades. As for physical, I near maxed everything out on the CFA so thats not a problem. I just submitted the last item for the app this past tuesday so should I receive a letter about being 3QD soon?

I asked the same question a few days ago (you can see the topic "3Q - Clarification..." and this is what MONGO provided:
"Physically (CFA) and medically (DoDMERB). Most get scholastically qualified letters, some get 3Qed ones. I have never figured out the rhyme or reason of it. BGO can tell you if you've passed the CFA and of course the DodMERB website is the source for your medical quals."

Depends upon where your app is in the queue (sp?) to be reviewed by
Admissions Board........no way to know that, so you are now officially WAITING (and wondering, and waiting and wondering.....well you get the picture!) The letter may come, or not. All scenarios have played out in recent years. Scholastically qual letter, no letter, two letters, appointment without letter, etc.
